Assistant Manager / Manager – Finance Audit

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Finance Audit will support the planning and execution of risk‑based financial audits across the Group. The role is responsible for assessing financial processes, accounting records, reporting practices and internal controls to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of the annual finance audit plan across the Dialog Group.
• Lead and supervise finance audit assignments to ensure timely and effective completion.
• Collaborate with business units and process owners to understand financial processes, obtain required information and identify key risks.
• Evaluate financial processes, internal controls and reporting mechanisms to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Review financial statements, accounting records and reporting systems for accuracy, completeness and compliance.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Apply data analytics and technology‑enabled audit techniques to improve coverage and support evidence‑based conclusions.
• Prepare clear audit working papers documenting procedures, evidence and conclusions.
• Monitor implementation of agreed management actions and follow up to close audit findings.
• Assist in preparing finance audit reports, progress updates, presentations and inputs for senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
• Share knowledge and audit insights with the Internal Audit team to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a professional qualification (ICASL, CIMA, ACCA) with valid membership.
• Minimum 6 – 6.5 years of auditing experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, reporting, finance auditing and internal‑control audits.
• Hands‑on experience conducting financial audits and evaluating internal controls over financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting and ERP systems, particularly SAP (preferred).
• Proficiency in data analytics and technology‑enabled auditing.
• Excellent report writing, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Professional certifications such as CIA are an added advantage.
