Accounts/Finance Officer

About the role

SriLankan is hiring an Accounts/Finance Officer in Katunayake to manage finance-related operations in line with the Company's corporate financial policies, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and effective financial control. The position is full time and offered on a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely accounting of sales and capture of financial data.
• Handle customer settlements, invoice processing, payment arrangements and settlement of advances.
• Reconcile customer, supplier, bank and general ledger accounts, taking corrective action on outstanding items.
• Support treasury operations, including funds positioning and analysis of cash inflows and outflows.
• Perform other finance-related functions as assigned, in line with the Company's financial policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Either: 6 GCE O/L passes with 4 credits including Mathematics and English, and 3 GCE A/L passes in Mathematics, Science or Commerce with 3 years of finance experience; or 6 GCE O/L passes with 4 credits including Mathematics and English, a full or part professional qualification in finance and 2 years of finance experience.
• Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
• Upper age limit of 30 years as of 07 November 2026 (closing date).
• Trainee and internship experience does not count, except Audit Trainee experience.

Required skills

• Able to work in computerised systems.
• Fair knowledge of MS Excel, Word and E-Mail.
• Good analytical skills; good verbal and written English and interpersonal skills are advantageous.
