Account Manager – Global Payment Solutions

About the role

HSBC Global Payment Solutions is seeking an experienced Account Manager to deliver an excellent client experience and drive growth across its corporate portfolio. You will act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring proactive, commercially‑focused support and fostering strong relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of corporate clients from a GPS perspective, delivering timely and proactive support.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to introduce GPS services, increase portfolio revenue and strengthen client relationships.
• Analyse client account activity and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend appropriate cash‑management solutions.
• Address and resolve client queries and complaints promptly, taking ownership through to resolution.
• Maintain awareness of external factors affecting clients, including economic, cultural, geographical and regulatory considerations.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support client outcomes.
• Adhere to HSBC’s risk management, control, compliance and conduct requirements in all activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, a related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Mandarin language skills would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards relating to cash‑management products and services.
• Understanding of applicable local and international regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to build and strengthen relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including delivering clear and compelling presentations.
