Hotel Room Sales Executive

About the role

The Hotel Room Sales Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo, responsible for driving room sales and maximizing revenue for the company’s leisure properties. The role involves identifying and engaging potential corporate and individual clients, managing room sales inquiries, preparing proposals and rate quotations, and converting leads into confirmed bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential corporate and individual clients.
• Manage room sales inquiries and prepare proposals and rate quotations.
• Convert leads into confirmed bookings.
• Coordinate with front office, reservations, and marketing teams to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Maintain sales pipelines and update CRM systems.
• Conduct site visits and property show‑arounds.
• Participate in promotional activities and events.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support pricing strategies and promotional campaigns.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation skills with experience in hotel room sales, corporate accounts, or hospitality sales.
• Customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Organizational and time‑management skills with proficiency in CRM or reservation systems and basic MS Office.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, room categories, rate structures, and basic revenue management concepts.
• Prior experience in hospitality, travel, or leisure sectors is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Colombo.
