Work Study Assistant – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Work Study Assistant will support the production team by analysing operation sequences, calculating Standard Minute Values (SMVs) and preparing documentation that drives efficient manufacturing processes. This role is essential for ensuring accurate work measurement and smooth workflow in our textile and apparel division.

Key responsibilities

• Identify operation sequences for products and associated machinery.
• Retrieve technical data from IFS, reorganise AutoCAD files and extract measurements for SMV calculations.
• Analyse video footage using Prosuite codes and feed relevant data into calculation formulas.
• Assist in calculating SMVs for various product types.
• Prepare bundling sheets to guide the cutting department’s bundling process.
• Create operation breakdowns, compile and print barcodes, and distribute them to production departments based on the IFS schedule.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Textile & Apparel from SLITA, GIMI, or AIMS.
• Sound knowledge of work measurement techniques and method improvement.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Good command of English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Flexibility to work with teams, manage changes and perform under pressure.
