Head Technician

About the role

The Head Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Negombo, responsible for leading all technical operations related to electric bikes. This role combines hands‑on repair work with team leadership, ensuring safety, performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on electric bikes.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections and pre‑delivery checks.
• Ensure all bikes meet safety and performance standards.
• Supervise, train and allocate tasks to junior technicians.
• Maintain accurate service records, parts inventory and documentation.
• Coordinate technical queries with warehouse and sales teams.
• Provide technical input for product improvements and customer feedback.
• Support the flagship outlet and dealership network with technical expertise.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in electric bike maintenance and repair.
• Proven experience leading or supervising a technical team.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and manufacturer specifications.
• Good organizational skills for documentation and parts inventory.
• Effective communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency for reporting, scheduling and service databases.
• Prior experience in automotive, electric vehicles or related fields (electric bike experience is a plus).
• Relevant technical qualification or certification in mechanics, electronics or a related discipline.
