Veterinary Internship – Hands‑On Clinical Experience

About the role

This 6‑month veterinary internship at Brown & Company PLC offers hands‑on experience in a professional animal‑health setting in Colombo. Interns will work alongside qualified veterinarians, supporting both clinic and field activities while gaining exposure to animal welfare practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during animal examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Support diagnostic testing and record accurate clinical data.
• Help with vaccination, preventive care programs, and follow‑up monitoring.
• Maintain and update animal health records and documentation.
• Participate in client communication and basic administrative tasks.
• Join training sessions and field visits to broaden understanding of animal health.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Veterinary Science or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, common diseases and preventive care.
• Ability to handle animals safely and follow veterinary instructions.
• Strong observational and documentation skills.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to animal welfare.
• Willingness to work onsite in Colombo and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
