Senior Power Electrical Engineer – Fixed Term (2 Years)

About the role

Michelin is seeking a Senior Power Electrical Engineer on a two‑year fixed‑term contract to lead the implementation of quality systems and feasibility studies for high‑voltage equipment within its manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the group’s quality system, including risk analyses, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, DTE and non‑conformity treatment.
• Conduct feasibility studies with validated CDCs, evaluating cost, schedule, risk and functional criteria.
• Develop and monitor action plans for risk management through calculations, simulations and testing.
• Design solutions in collaboration with other business lines and obtain CI, RF and RC validations after installation and start‑up.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records on OTG‑OTS availability, releases, evolution requests, non‑conformities, obsolescence and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate equipment homologation, qualification and industrial robustness.
• Manage intellectual property processes, including patent filing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with high‑voltage devices and safety protocols is an asset.
• Background in electrical distribution system design and maintenance is valued.
• Project‑management exposure (planning, scheduling, budgeting) is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Sinhala with strong interpersonal skills.
