Mathematics, Mechanics & Statistics Tutor (Onsite)

About the role

STEMpire International Academy is seeking a full‑time Mathematics, Mechanics and Statistics tutor to deliver A‑Level content to students in Colombo 06. The position combines in‑person classroom sessions with remote lesson planning and material preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Teach IGCSE and IAL Mathematics, covering Edexcel and Cambridge curricula (P1‑P4, Statistics 1‑2, Mechanics 1‑2, Further/Pure Mathematics).
• Plan, structure and deliver lessons in a hybrid format, adapting methods for neurodiverse learners.
• Assign, review and provide feedback on practice work, tracking student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, results and assessments.
• Communicate regularly with students and guardians about goals and performance.

Required profile

• Strong command of A‑Level mathematics topics such as algebra, calculus, statistics and mechanics.
• Proven experience tutoring or teaching mathematics at secondary to A‑Level level.
• Ability to adapt instruction for neurodiverse students and varied learning styles.
• Patient, student‑centered approach with excellent communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or a related quantitative field (preferred).
