Hotel Receptionist – Front Desk

About the role

KYNROCK Hotels & Resorts is seeking a full‑time Receptionist for its Kataragama property. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth front‑desk operations in a vibrant hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage check‑in and check‑out procedures, and handle guest inquiries.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and coordinate reservations and guest records.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest requests are fulfilled.
• Process payments, maintain an organized reception area, and address guest concerns promptly.
• Provide accurate information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.

Required profile

• Strong front‑desk and clerical abilities, including reservation handling and basic administrative tasks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, in a fast‑paced setting.
• Prior experience in hotel front office or a customer‑facing role is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala or Tamil; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with hotel booking systems.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
