English Lecturer

About the role

The English Lecturer will join Cambridge College of British English International to deliver engaging, exam‑focused lessons for learners of all ages and proficiency levels. The role is full‑time and based on‑site in Galle, supporting students as they prepare for Cambridge English examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess classroom lessons aligned with Cambridge English exam requirements.
• Prepare and adapt teaching materials, worksheets and practice tests.
• Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualifications in English, Linguistics, Education, TESOL or related fields.
• Strong spoken and written English with excellent communication skills.
• Experience teaching diverse age groups and proficiency levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
