Design Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a Design Engineer to develop and improve injection molds, stamping tools and related fixtures. The role involves close collaboration with specialist departments to ensure tool designs meet technical and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design injection molds, stamping tools and fixtures, including modifications and improvements.
• Prepare technical drawings, bills of material, instructions and specifications.
• Optimize existing production tools in cooperation with specialist departments.
• Create tool data sheets and maintain documentation for current operating resources.
• Participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activities.
• Conduct design and process feasibility studies.
• Develop drafts and layouts for customer offers.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of tool design and functionality of injection molds and progressive dies.
• Strong understanding of injection molding and progressive die processes.
• Methodical and structured approach to problem analysis.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
• Experience using a product data management system, preferably Siemens Teamcenter.
• Strong command of MS Office tools: Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of DFMEA methodology.
• Familiarity with injection molding and progressive die processes.
