Data Lead - Power BI

About the role

The Data Lead – Power BI will drive the design, development and delivery of advanced analytics solutions using Power BI across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Data, the role combines deep technical expertise with leadership of a small team of BI developers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement end‑to‑end Power BI solutions, including data models, dashboards and reports.
• Lead semantic modelling initiatives to ensure consistent, reusable data structures.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate data from Data Lake, GCP Databricks and other sources.
• Mentor junior BI developers and promote best practices in DAX, Power Query and performance optimisation.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver actionable insights.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience with Power BI.
• At least 4 years of experience in semantic modelling.
• Strong background in SQL (5 years) and Python (5 years).
• Proven ability to work with Data Lake, GCP Databricks and PySpark is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
