Data Engineer

About the role

Superloop’s Data and Analytics team is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to maintain and enhance its central data warehouse. You will act as a bridge between analysts and system developers, ensuring data pipelines are reliable and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data ingestion workflows.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to support analytics and reporting.
• Monitor and optimise data warehouse performance, addressing bottlenecks.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance, including encryption and access controls.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts to deliver clean, well‑structured data for their needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer with a focus on data warehousing and ETL.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• SQL for data querying, manipulation and optimisation.
• Python for scripting and automation of data processes.
• Experience with Data Lakehouse technologies.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Apache Spark (preferred).
