Confectioner

About the role

We are seeking a Confectioner to deliver high‑quality, efficient, and technically excellent pastry preparation in accordance with company policies and strict public health standards. The role focuses on achieving total guest satisfaction across all meal services and special events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑quality pastries, desserts, petit fours, and baked goods for all meal services.
• Supervise daily pastry operations, support or replace the Pastry Chef when required, and organize buffet displays and special event dessert setups.
• Plan production schedules, manage requisitions, coordinate special orders, and maintain inventory control while minimizing waste.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety and public health regulations at all times.
• Monitor equipment condition, conduct basic maintenance, and report operational issues promptly.

Required profile

• Valid STCW95 certification.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position at an international 5‑star establishment.
• Fluent spoken and written English with ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International cuisine.
• Knowledge of public health policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, interpret and demonstrate culinary fundamentals.
