Assistant Outlet Manager

About the role

The Assistant Outlet Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort. This role combines operational oversight, staff training, and financial management to ensure the outlet runs efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities

• Identify training needs with the hotel training manager and deliver targeted training for outlet staff.
• Support departmental trainers to continuously improve service levels and implement daily training programs.
• Assist the restaurant manager in achieving budget goals through revenue growth and cost control.
• Forecast business demand to optimise staffing and food production.
• Promote and support Anantara Guest Incentive programmes.
• Schedule management and associate shifts, overseeing time‑control systems.
• Coach and counsel subordinate managers, applying progressive discipline when required.
• Maintain outlet safety, sanitation standards, and conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
• Manage outlet assets and facilities, ensuring proper upkeep.
• Foster positive inter‑departmental communication and collaborate with the Banqueting department for events.
• Lead by example with a hands‑on approach to motivate associates.

Required profile

• Experience in hospitality or outlet management.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff.
• Strong organisational and leadership capabilities.
• Awareness of safety, sanitation and asset management practices.
