About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Human Resources to join a leading FMCG company in the snacking category. The role will support the HR function across a manufacturing environment, driving talent acquisition, employee relations and development initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning to meet production needs.
- Manage employee relations, welfare programs and resolve workplace issues.
- Promote employee engagement, culture and internal communication.
- Ensure HR policies, compliance and labour law adherence.
- Oversee learning, development and team‑building activities.
Required profile
- 5–7 years of HR experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Hands‑on experience in recruitment, onboarding and welfare management.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, employee relations and compliance.
- Experience with HR projects, audits or HRIS implementation is a plus.
- University degree in HRM or a related postgraduate qualification; CIPM membership preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Sinhala.
