Assistant Manager - Core Audit

About the role

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Assurance supports global client-serving teams with reviews across sectors such as financial services, manufacturing and technology, enabling client teams in more than 30 countries to meet audit requirements. As Assistant Manager (Core Audit), you will act as the main point of contact for tasks assigned by global client-serving assurance teams, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables and managing day-to-day operations of the engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engagements from the GDS front and ensure the team delivers work on time and to a high standard, in line with EY GAM and global team expectations.
• Review procedures performed by GDS staff, applying knowledge of GAM and EY's Quality and Risk Management and using EY tools throughout the engagement.
• Discuss workflow management with assurance teams, allocate resources, monitor performance against standards, and track team utilization and budget versus actuals.
• Standardize review processes, leverage best practices and identify opportunities to improve the scope of work on your own engagements.
• Motivate and lead GDS team members, coach and supervise them, and conduct timely performance reviews.

Required profile

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, or following CA (articles completed) or ACCA.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting and audit, including external audit.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and audit standards.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, PSA and taxation.

Required skills

• Ideal candidates have knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and international review standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and global teams.
