Assistant Director - Internal Transformation Services

About the role

EY Internal Transformation Services (ITS) is a global internal consulting team that partners with Executive Leadership on programs central to EY's strategy, covering business transformation, go-to-market strategy, target operating model design, organisation design, change management and complex program leadership. EY is growing its Sri Lanka capability and is looking for an experienced transformation leader who acts as a trusted adviser while being accountable for execution. As Assistant Director, you will shape transformation agendas, lead multi-workstream programs, influence senior stakeholders across countries and functions and build the consulting capability of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Executive Leadership, Partners and Functional Heads to frame strategic priorities, clarify outcomes and shape enterprise transformation agendas.
• Lead go-to-market strategy and execution, including market insight, proposition development, launch planning, governance, adoption and performance measures.
• Design target operating models covering capabilities, organisation, governance, decision rights, roles, ways of working, technology enablement and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead organisational change management across complex programs, including stakeholder strategy, readiness, leadership alignment, communication, learning, adoption, culture and behavioural change.
• Turn strategic choices into business cases, roadmaps, investment priorities, milestones and value-realisation measures.
• Lead complex, global, cross-functional programs with clear accountability, governance, risk management and quality outcomes.
• Challenge senior leaders with market perspectives and data-led insight, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee leadership-ready presentations, dashboards, recommendations and program communications.
• Coach consultants, set quality standards and develop reusable transformation methods and knowledge assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, management, engineering, technology, economics or a related discipline.
• Typically 10+ years of relevant experience, including substantial management consulting, internal consulting or enterprise transformation leadership.
• Track record of leading complex transformation programs with senior executive sponsorship.
• Demonstrated experience in go-to-market, target operating model and organisational change management, and in leading consulting or program teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft 365, especially PowerPoint and Excel, for executive materials and performance reporting in English.
• Proven ability to influence C-suite, Partner and senior functional stakeholders in matrix organisations.
• Good to have: Design Thinking or Human-Centred Design experience; Big Four, global consultancy or multinational experience; certifications in change management, project or program management, Agile or facilitation; experience with AI-enabled transformation; MBA desirable but not required.
