Tax Officer

About the role

The Tax Officer will join Lakmiro Business Services in Biyagama to manage tax compliance for a diverse client base. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on preparing, reviewing and filing tax returns while ensuring adherence to current legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and individual tax returns and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate tax records and support day‑to‑day compliance activities.
• Assist with tax audits, respond to queries from tax authorities and clients.
• Analyse financial data to identify tax implications and provide advisory input.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to align tax reporting with overall financial statements.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of tax preparation, tax compliance and relevant tax legislation.
• Good understanding of finance and financial reporting principles.
• Relevant professional qualification or degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation is preferred.
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ethical conduct.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on‑site.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using accounting software.
