Storekeeper - Construction

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Storekeeper to join our construction project team. The role involves managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of construction materials, tools and equipment, ensuring accurate stock records and supporting project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record incoming construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper handling of items.
• Issue materials to site personnel according to approved requisitions.
• Update and reconcile stock records, conduct regular inventory counts.
• Assist in preparing reports on stock levels, usage and discrepancies.
• Support procurement and logistics coordination with suppliers and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Stores Management, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2–4 years of storekeeping experience, preferably on large‑scale construction sites.
• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Effective teamwork, communication and problem‑solving skills.
