Maintenance Officer

About the role

Our client seeks a responsible and reliable Maintenance Officer to join their Operations team in Colombo. The role involves handling day‑to‑day maintenance across multiple workspace locations, ensuring issues are identified, resolved efficiently, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to general building maintenance and repair requirements.
• Carry out basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general handyman work.
• Inspect reported maintenance issues and identify practical solutions.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks.
• Coordinate with external technicians and contractors for specialist work.
• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance and operational requirements.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records in an organized manner.

Required profile

• Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, hotels, apartments, or offices.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and respond to urgent operational priorities.
