Senior Software Engineer – Java/Angular

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and modernize features in Neogov’s HRIS suite, which includes Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and CoreHR. The role is fully full‑stack, working on a multi‑tenant cloud SaaS platform within a distributed agile team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new functionality and refactor existing components across the HRIS product line.
• Implement backend services using Java and Spring and build responsive front‑end interfaces with Angular.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA to deliver high‑quality releases in an agile environment.
• Adopt a shift‑left testing mindset, writing unit and integration tests and verifying solution correctness.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to improve productivity.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of professional software development experience, preferably in full‑stack roles.
• Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring framework for backend development.
• Solid experience building single‑page applications with Angular.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of feature delivery.
• Comfortable operating in a distributed, agile team setting.
