Senior Network Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer will design, deliver and support enterprise‑grade networking and related technology solutions for a leading systems integrator in Colombo. You will work closely with customers, vendors and internal teams to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures and ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement technology solutions across Collaboration, Networking, Cyber‑Security, Cloud and Data‑Centre domains, producing high‑level and detailed designs, implementation plans and as‑built documentation.
• Lead technical workshops, design reviews and customer planning sessions, acting as the primary technical owner and escalation point throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, knowledge transfer, training and post‑implementation support, resolving Level 3 issues within agreed service levels.
• Provide architectural leadership, mentor team members and drive continuous improvement of delivery methodologies and technical processes.
• Support pre‑sales activities, contribute to Statements of Work, pricing estimates and solution proposals, and identify follow‑on project opportunities.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience in networking, unified communications, security, cloud or data‑centre technologies, preferably within a systems‑integrator environment.
• Proven track record designing, consulting and implementing enterprise solutions for enterprise, government or SME customers.
• Strong customer‑facing consulting skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Tertiary education or relevant technical qualifications are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) and other vendor certifications such as HP Aruba, Palo Alto, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Oracle, IBM, Riverbed, BeyondTrust, Meraki, CWNE.
• Technical expertise in Collaboration & Unified Communications, Wireless & Mobility, Networking, Cyber‑Security, Cloud Technologies, Data‑Centre Infrastructure, Compute & Storage, End‑User Computing and Middleware & Database Infrastructure.
