Senior Front-End Engineer – React.js/Next.js

About the role

iLabs is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join its hybrid team in Battaramulla, working on US‑time schedules. You will contribute to large‑scale web and mobile products, leveraging modern front‑end technologies and AI‑powered development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript/JavaScript and SPA architecture.
• Work with CSS‑in‑JS solutions such as Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, MUI or Emotion.
• Drive solution design, support live operations at scale, and ensure web accessibility (WCAG) and SEO compliance.
• Participate in testing using unit, integration and E2E frameworks (Playwright).
• Lead the team to build scalable, maintainable software for millions of users and transactions.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in front‑end development, preferably in subscription or e‑commerce environments.
• Strong communication skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ability to work on US time zones and follow the US calendar.
• Creative problem‑solver with a solid understanding of digital product and UX principles.
