Senior Executive – Planning

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, analytical, and results‑driven Senior Executive – Planning to join the manufacturing operations team of a leading Sri Lankan food and beverage conglomerate. Reporting to supply chain management, you will be responsible for supply planning, product availability, capacity optimisation and seamless material flow across production units, using data analytics, advanced Excel models and ERP systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and execute end‑to‑end supply planning strategies to ensure product availability meets sales demand and delivery targets.
• Analyze production schedules and resource allocations to achieve optimal factory capacity and equipment efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow and balanced inventory.
• Analyse operational and supply‑chain data sets to track key performance metrics, generate reports and support executive decision‑making.
• Lead and assist continuous‑improvement projects aimed at reducing lead times, minimising waste and optimising supply‑chain workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Management or Business Analytics.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in supply planning, production scheduling or operations management within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; practical experience with SAP or other enterprise ERP systems is a distinct advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, problem‑solving and organisational skills; ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
