Senior DevOps & Security Engineer (Platform Owner)

About the role

Rubaai Technologies is seeking a senior hands‑on engineer to own the platform’s infrastructure, security, and reliability. You will work on a fintech product suite, ensuring that cloud services, DevSecOps practices, and internal IT operations are robust, scalable, and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.
• Maintain high availability, disaster‑recovery, and cost‑optimized environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment, testing and operational workflows.
• Manage containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, including orchestration and scaling.
• Establish security best practices, manage secrets, certificates, access controls and identity management.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, remediation, and security monitoring.
• Support compliance initiatives relevant to fintech.
• Administer internal IT tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, VPNs and endpoint devices.
• Participate in incident management, root‑cause analysis and define reliability metrics.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE or Platform Engineering.
• Proven ability to operate as a one‑person platform and security team.
• Strong Linux systems administration background.
• Experience working on‑site in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
• Senior‑level expertise with a focus on operational excellence and security.
