School Principal

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary School Principal to lead a well‑established educational institution in Colombo. The role combines strategic academic leadership with day‑to‑day operational management to create a safe, inclusive and high‑performing learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership that drives academic excellence and student achievement.
• Lead, mentor and develop teaching, academic and support teams.
• Design and implement strategies to continuously improve teaching and learning standards.
• Ensure a safe, secure and inclusive environment for students, staff and stakeholders.
• Oversee daily school operations, resources and facilities.
• Monitor staff performance, support professional development and promote student discipline.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, guardians and the wider community.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures and educational standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in a senior academic leadership role such as Principal or Vice‑Principal.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum management, teaching methodologies and educational standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and decision‑making abilities.
• High level of professionalism, integrity and commitment to educational excellence.

Required skills

• Digital literacy and proficiency with standard office software.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
