Salesperson – Agricultural Services

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Salesperson position is based in Wariyapola, Sri Lanka. You will work directly with local betel‑nut farmers and buyers, promoting Agro Health Lanka’s services, explaining pricing and collection processes, and building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Visit collection points regularly to engage with farmers and buyers.
• Identify and recruit new farmers and buyers for the betel‑nut value chain.
• Negotiate sales terms and ensure accurate documentation of transactions.
• Monitor market trends and report sales activities to management.
• Coordinate with operations teams to guarantee timely collection and delivery.
• Represent Agro Health Lanka in the community, supporting both commercial goals and sustainable farming practices.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with farmers and buyers.
• Basic sales and negotiation experience, preferably in a field or retail environment.
• Knowledge or interest in agriculture, especially betel‑nut cultivation.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and keep accurate records.
• Fluency in relevant local languages and good spoken English.
• Comfort with basic numeracy and use of mobile phones or simple digital tools for reporting.
• Willingness to travel within Wariyapola and surrounding regions; a valid driving or riding licence is a plus.
