Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will support the project team by ensuring accurate measurement, cost control and payment validation throughout the construction lifecycle. You will work closely with site engineers, subcontractors and internal departments to keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) against drawings and specifications.
• Conduct payment validation for subcontractors, suppliers and contractors.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, measurements and cost assessments.
• Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining budgetary control.
• Manage material and supply control to reduce wastage and prevent shortages.
• Assist in evaluating quotations and supplier proposals.
• Verify contractor claims, variations and interim payment applications.
• Carry out regular site visits to inspect progress, verify quantities and support cost assessments.
• Liaise with site engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, contracts, payments and measurements.
• Prepare periodic reports on project costs, valuations and procurement activities.
• Support the Finance Director with cost analysis and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized institution.
• 1‑3 years of experience in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation, measurement principles and cost management.
• Understanding of construction materials and procurement processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
