Quality Assurance Manager – GI Manufacturing Plant

About the role

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead QA activities at its Galvanized Iron (GI) plant in Gampaha. The role involves maintaining quality standards, driving continuous improvement, and managing a dedicated QA team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all Quality Assurance functions across the GI manufacturing plant.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor raw material, process and finished‑product quality, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) and related documentation.
• Coordinate internal and external quality audits and report key performance indicators to management.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Develop, coach and motivate the QA team, fostering a culture of quality and accountability.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quality Management, Engineering, Materials/Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of senior‑level QA experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in GI, steel or metal production.
• Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• ISO standards and Quality Management Systems.
• 7 QC Tools, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Continuous Improvement methodologies.
