Network Security Engineer (Fortinet NSE 3+)

About the role

We are seeking a senior Network Security Engineer to own and protect the enterprise, data‑center, and OT network infrastructure of a global technology enterprise. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and optimizing Fortinet security solutions while ensuring seamless IT/OT integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and fine‑tune Fortinet architecture (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAP, FortiSwitch).
• Serve as L3 escalation point for complex network and security incidents, leading root‑cause analysis.
• Define network architecture and standards across enterprise, data‑center, and OT environments.
• Drive security initiatives such as segmentation, hardening, firewall policy governance, and SD‑WAN/VPN design.
• Manage Fortinet and other vendor relationships, including licensing and support.
• Lead change management, capacity planning, and disaster‑recovery/business‑continuity planning.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and OT teams to ensure secure integration.
• Maintain compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and industry best practices.
• Create and update documentation, SOPs, and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on network engineering experience in complex environments.
• Fortinet NSE‑3 or NSE‑4 certification (mandatory).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in mission‑critical settings.
• Fluent English; Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia a plus.
