Line Cook – Upscale Hotel, Resort or Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team in an upscale hospitality environment such as a hotel, resort, or cruise ship. The successful candidate will work across all kitchen stations, preparing high‑quality dishes while adhering to strict food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare basic food items and execute menu recipes as directed by the supervisor.
• Demonstrate advanced knife handling and work efficiently in any kitchen section.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of culinary terminology and food preparation techniques.
• Follow public health regulations (US, Anvisa, Shipsan, Canadian, Australian, etc.) and keep the work area inspection‑ready.
• Report for duty on schedule, uphold uniform and hygiene standards, and follow supervisor instructions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service.
• At least 2 years as a line cook; shipboard experience preferred.
• Culinary school degree required.
• Strong management, communication, problem‑solving and customer‑service skills in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of public health standards and ability to maintain inspection‑ready stations.
• Intermediate proficiency with computer software for kitchen operations.
