Junior Field Technician

About the role

The Junior Field Technician will join Damn Fine Coffee Company’s service team in Colombo, providing on‑site installation, maintenance and repair of coffee equipment for cafés and other customers. This full‑time position supports senior technicians and ensures coffee machines operate reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Install espresso machines, grinders and related coffee equipment at client locations.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic calibrations.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Perform repairs and replace components as needed.
• Assist senior technicians with more complex service tasks.
• Maintain accurate service records and follow standard procedures.

Required profile

• Secondary education or vocational training in a technical field.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, follow procedures and keep detailed records.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift equipment within safe limits and work in café environments.
• Interest in coffee and café operations; valid driver’s licence; flexible to work varied hours.
