HR Executive – HR & Payroll (Colombo)

About the role

We are seeking a responsible and detail‑oriented HR Executive to manage day‑to‑day HR administration, employee records, payroll support and compliance activities in our Colombo office. The role requires solid knowledge of Sri Lankan labour law and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily HR operations including attendance, leave, employee records and documentation.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and employee confirmation processes.
• Prepare employment, confirmation, warning letters and other HR documents.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace issues.
• Monitor attendance, late check‑ins, leave and absenteeism.
• Assist performance appraisals, training and employee engagement activities.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and statutory compliance with Sri Lankan labour legislation.
• Assist with monthly payroll preparation, salary processing and statutory deductions (EPF, ETF, PAYE).
• Prepare payroll reports, salary sheets and coordinate bank transfers.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and reconcile discrepancies.

Required profile

• Degree or relevant qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HR, payroll, administration or finance.
• Practical knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and HR compliance.
• Familiarity with EPF, ETF and PAYE calculations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

What we offer

• Salary starting from LKR 65,000 per month, dependent on qualifications and experience.
• Shift aligned with UK business hours (2:00 PM – 11:30 PM).
• Night transport provided.
