Freelance Surf Photographer – Sri Lanka

About the role

Surf Spirit is looking for a freelance surf photographer to join its Sri Lanka retreat. You will capture high‑quality surf and water images, produce weekly video analyses for guests, and create engaging social‑media content.

Key responsibilities

• Shoot surf and water photography using your own equipment, including camera, lenses and optional water housing.
• Produce weekly video analyses of guests for surf coaching.
• Create photo packages for each guest to purchase at the end of their stay.
• Generate Instagram Stories 1‑2 days per week with creative, high‑quality content.
• Collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager and ensure timely delivery of all assets.
• Participate in the retreat community, sharing meals and socialising with guests and staff.

Required profile

• Professional experience in surf and water photography.
• Fluent English and ability to stay in Sri Lanka for at least five months.
• Strong organisational skills to manage content and guest packages.
• Independent work style with good time‑management and stress tolerance.
• Team‑player attitude, punctuality and enthusiasm for the surf‑spirit community.
• Class B driving licence (Sri Lanka) and confidence driving a scooter.
