Finance Executive - Accounts Payable

About the role

JLL is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Executive to join its finance team in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The role is central to managing vendor relationships, processing invoices and keeping payment operations running smoothly across the business. It is an on-site position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable: collect, validate and process vendor invoices, verify purchase orders, invoice values and tax codes, and resolve discrepancies with vendors
• Process Goods Receipt Reports (GRR) and coordinate with the Financial Shared Services Centre for invoice logging and matching, including GRNV clearance and follow-up on overdue items
• Coordinate weekly vendor payment cycles, prepare payment batches for approval, process payments through systems such as PeopleSoft, and reconcile outstanding payments
• Prepare and distribute payment advices to vendors and update the accounts receivable tracker weekly
• Liaise with site managers for work completion confirmations, prepare monthly billing files and open PO accruals
• Upload invoices to the Tradeshift platform, support audits with invoice documentation, and maintain organized invoice filing and archiving
• Manage petty cash confirmations and settlements, support purchase order reconciliation, and handle ad-hoc finance tasks

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and purchase order management
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Preferred: partial or ongoing professional accounting qualification (CA/CIMA/ACCA), a bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, and knowledge of vendor management systems

Required skills

• MS Office, especially Excel
• Preferred: ERP systems such as PeopleSoft and vendor management systems such as Tradeshift
