Electronics Repair Technician – Test Field

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Electronics Repair Technician to join our Test Field Department, focusing on test production and electronic fault diagnosis. You will troubleshoot, analyse, and repair PCB assemblies while maintaining test systems for smooth production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform testing operations using advanced testing machines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults at component level on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA).
• Interpret electronic circuit diagrams and apply soldering/desoldering techniques.
• Conduct fine‑pitch hot‑air soldering on multi‑layer boards and miniature surface‑mount components.
• Utilise test and measurement equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes for fault analysis.
• Assist with component selection and ordering when required.
• Work in an ESD‑safe environment and support shift‑based production schedules.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Electronics or Mechatronics.
• Strong practical knowledge of electronic systems, circuit analysis and fault diagnosis.
• Hands‑on experience with soldering, rework and PCB repair.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters and power supplies.
• Excellent critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
