Electrical Engineering Executive

About the role

The Electrical Engineering Executive will lead the maintenance and reliability of all electrical and electronic systems at our Colombo site, ensuring uninterrupted production and a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical & electronic systems to meet production targets.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment and standards used in the factory.
• Monitor and manage electrical spares inventory, place orders and track stock values.
• Create and process maintenance orders in SAP with 100% compliance.
• Implement Integrated Work Systems (IWS) and Progressive Maintenance principles for electrical activities.
• Provide technical training to electricians and electronic technicians.
• Coordinate projects, ensure safety, control production and maintenance costs, and oversee night‑shift engineering activities.
• Follow BAT guidelines when contracting external services.

Required profile

• IETI/NDES/CGTTI or equivalent Electrical & Electronic qualification with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Additional certifications such as NDT (Electronics) or C&G (Electronics) with 3‑5 years experience.
• Strong knowledge of IEE Electrical Regulations, PLC systems, test equipment calibration and predictive maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead technicians and negotiate engineering contracts.
