Core Audit Manager - GDS Assurance

About the role

EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Assurance supports EY client-serving teams with reviews across sectors such as financial services, manufacturing and technology, enabling client teams in more than 30 countries to meet their assurance needs. As a Core Audit Manager, you will manage a large client portfolio and support the operational side of engagement management, mentoring junior staff and strengthening relationships with engagement teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a sizeable portfolio of clients and support engagement finances, resource management and risk management
• Mentor and coach junior staff, contributing to team development
• Build strong relationships with engagement teams and clients, identify quality improvements and expand the scope of work
• Develop and maintain relationships with engagement managers and project managers
• Embed EY's Risk Management procedures in the team's work and transition new engagements to GDS Assurance
• Allocate resources, monitor performance against standards and set expectations of value delivered to clients
• Standardize and optimize assurance processes across a client portfolio
• Conduct performance reviews, give feedback and training, and use technology to share knowledge
• Lead a team of Assistant Managers, Seniors and Associates to deliver high-quality work on time, within budget and according to EY methodology

Required profile

• Qualified CA/ACCA/CPA with over 7 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of international accounting and auditing standards
• Project management, leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Ideally: interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation skills; ability to build strong working relationships across the Philippines; financial services experience is an added advantage
