Consulting Support Services Manager

About the role

EY is hiring a Consulting Support Services (CSS) Manager in Colombo. The CSS role supports the efficiency and delivery of the Consulting Engagement teams through project management and coordination, covering the end-to-end engagement lifecycle, financial analysis, and engagement compliance and governance across industries and countries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operations for multiple global clients and processes, and coordinate, supervise and develop a growing team
• Grow the CSS business by building networks and developing new services
• Take part in people initiatives such as recruiting and training, and act as a role model
• Lead and collaborate on team and consulting-level initiatives, and mentor, counsel and build the team
• Manage and counsel a team of 15-20 staff, senior and assistant managers
• Ensure quality control, adherence to turnaround time, KPIs and service level agreements, and review the team's work
• Interface regularly with engagement stakeholders, anticipate client needs and help establish new work from project initiation to business as usual
• Make suggestions and recommendations on consulting solutions, and prepare dashboards for client teams including senior leadership
• Support quality and risk management across consulting practices, and summarise and conclude work with proper documentation

Required profile

• Graduate, preferably with a B.Com, BBA, Economics or Master's degree
• PMP, Prince 2 or similar certification is a plus
• Relevant industry or project management experience, ideally 10+ years with 1-2 years in a mid-level management role
• Prior experience with global clients preferred
• Confident dealing with senior contacts internally and externally
