Chef de Partie – Hot Kitchen (Live‑In)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to manage the hot kitchen at the Chairman’s Bungalow in Pussellawa. The role is live‑in and combines daily meal preparation for the Chairman, guests and private events, covering Sri Lankan, Western and Indian cuisines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals for the Chairman and guests, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
• Cook a variety of Sri Lankan, Western and Indian dishes, including pastries and desserts.
• Plan menus according to preferences, dietary requirements and special occasions.
• Maintain strict hygiene, food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.
• Manage kitchen inventory, create grocery lists and oversee stock levels.
• Coordinate with bungalow staff for meal timing and guest arrangements.
• Prepare meals for small private gatherings or special events as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent in a hot‑kitchen environment.
• Proven ability to work in a private household, boutique hotel or fine‑dining setting.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to household schedules.

Required skills

• Expertise in Sri Lankan, Western and Indian culinary traditions.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and food handling procedures.
• Kitchen and inventory management skills.
• Experience with pastry, desserts and optional cocktail preparation.
