Barista – Full-time Café Position

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Barista to join our Kandy café team. The role is full-time, on-site and focuses on delivering high-quality coffee and excellent guest service in a welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and other beverages following company recipes.
• Greet guests, take orders, process payments and ensure a pleasant customer experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area, including regular equipment cleaning.
• Perform basic food preparation for café items and restock supplies as needed.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders and other café equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support teammates during busy periods and adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during peak hours.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude toward learning and following procedures.

Required skills

• Coffee and espresso preparation.
• Operating café equipment (espresso machines, grinders, etc.).
• Basic food preparation and handling according to food safety standards.
