Butler – Luxury Hospitality Role in Kandy

About the role

The Butler will deliver personalized, attentive service to guests staying at a Thema Collection property in Kandy. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on ensuring guest comfort, handling special requests, and creating memorable experiences that reflect Sri Lanka’s rich heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests, providing a warm welcome and assistance throughout their stay.
• Support check‑in and check‑out processes, coordinating luggage and room arrangements.
• Manage special requests, reservations, and bespoke services such as meal and beverage delivery.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest areas.
• Liaise with housekeeping, front office, and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.
• Anticipate guest needs, offer information on property facilities and local attractions, and promptly resolve any concerns.

Required profile

• Strong guest service and hospitality skills with a focus on discreet, professional service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact confidently with diverse guests and colleagues.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of basic food and beverage service standards; prior experience in luxury hotel or resort settings is an advantage.
• Polished, professional appearance and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kandy with flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience as a butler, guest relations, or front‑of‑house role preferred; relevant hospitality training or certifications are an asset.
