About the role

The Assistant General Manager – Plantation Sales will lead and oversee plantation sales operations across assigned regions, driving growth while ensuring alignment with company objectives and high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee plantation sales operations across assigned regions.
• Drive sales growth while achieving company targets and business objectives.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to Zonal Managers and sales teams.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and market expansion initiatives.
• Analyse sales performance, market trends, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and business partners.
• Ensure operational excellence, compliance with company policies, and high service standards.
• Prepare management reports, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, Agriculture, Plantation Management or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in sales, including at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
• Experience in the plantation, FMCG, agriculture, or related industry is a distinct advantage.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with sales reporting tools.
