Architectural Designer

About the role

Green Code Architects is seeking a full‑time Architectural Designer to join its on‑site team in Colombo. You will be responsible for turning conceptual ideas into detailed, buildable designs for residential and commercial projects while supporting the overall project delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept designs and produce detailed architectural drawings, sections, and elevations.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documentation for residential and commercial projects.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine design solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with Sri Lankan building regulations, codes, and approval processes.
• Contribute to urban planning and site layout studies, and participate in design reviews.
• Support the project team in delivering projects on schedule and to quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in architecture and architectural design, with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Professional registration or progress toward licensure is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to quickly learn local building regulations if not already familiar.
• Effective communication skills for presenting ideas to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp (or similar tools).
• Experience creating construction drawings, detailed plans, sections, and elevations.
• Understanding of urban planning principles and their application to site design.
