Senior Executive - Factory Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Executive – Factory Supply Chain reports to the Head of Factory Supply Chain and is responsible for ensuring the timely availability and effective management of contract labour at Nestlé’s Kurunegala Factory. The role balances cost efficiency, productivity and compliance while safeguarding business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate contract‑labour requirements with production planners and external service providers.
• Forecast, allocate and monitor labour needs across all shifts to guarantee workforce availability.
• Manage labour shortages, turnover and workforce readiness to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, working‑hour rules, safety and labour practices.
• Oversee provision of PPE, uniforms and other readiness items.
• Validate supplier invoices and supporting documents for financial compliance.
• Lead compliance reviews, corrective actions and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Develop skilled‑labour programmes, business‑continuity plans and supply‑chain projects to boost performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production, Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in supply‑chain or food‑manufacturing environments.
• Fluency in English and Sinhala.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Capability to manage compliance, labour operations and business continuity.
• Project‑management mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborative, proactive and results‑driven attitude.
