Marketing Manager (Automotive Industry)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, commercially driven Marketing Manager for the automotive division of a leading Sri Lankan conglomerate. Reporting to senior division leadership, you will shape and execute end‑to‑end marketing strategies that boost revenue, workshop throughput, spare‑parts sales and enhance customer acquisition and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and strengthen market leadership across commercial vehicles.
• Design targeted promotional campaigns, service packages and loyalty programmes to increase workshop traffic, fleet service adoption and genuine spare‑parts sales.
• Implement data‑driven customer relationship initiatives to improve retention, reactivate dormant accounts and acquire new commercial fleet clients.
• Collaborate closely with sales, workshop engineering, after‑sales technical teams and customer experience units to ensure aligned service delivery and consistent brand execution.
• Manage marketing budgets, analyse market trends, track customer insights and evaluate campaign performance against ROI metrics.
• Drive initiatives that elevate customer satisfaction and align after‑sales touchpoints with the division’s strategic service objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field; postgraduate qualification (MBA or Master’s) is an advantage.
• Minimum 6 years progressive marketing experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Prior exposure to automotive, engineering, industrial or services sectors is desirable.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in market analysis, budgeting and performance tracking.
• Proven ability to develop growth‑focused marketing strategies and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with full fluency in English and Sinhala.
