Manager – Specialist Sales for SMEs

About the role

Mastercard is looking for a Manager, Specialist Sales to lead the growth of its Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) portfolio across South Asia. Based in Colombo, you will act as the single point of contact for SME business development and sales to external partners, driving strategy, analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new SME business opportunities in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.
• Develop and recommend differentiated product features and benefits for bank partners, fintech firms and startups.
• Collaborate with Account Teams, Marketing, Loyalty, Finance, Pricing & Interchange, Legal and Customer Delivery to support launches and go‑to‑market initiatives.
• Provide consultative sales enablement during complex, cross‑departmental discussions.
• Champion digital‑first solutions such as contactless payments and tokenisation within the SME segment.
• Communicate new product launches and enhancements to internal and external stakeholders through bulletins, briefings and PR.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of payment market products and programs from the perspective of issuers, acquirers and end‑users.
• Proven experience developing sales strategies and driving incremental growth for financial‑services partners.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Consultative sales approach with excellent communication skills.
• Experience promoting digital payment solutions such as contactless and tokenisation.
