Business Development Executive

About the role

Join Global Skills Meet’s expanding Colombo team as a Business Development Executive. You will generate new sales opportunities by contacting businesses over the phone, presenting our website services and converting interest into revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to potential business customers and speak directly with owners or decision‑makers.
• Introduce website services, explain benefits and identify interested prospects.
• Follow up leads, nurture relationships and convert opportunities into sales.
• Manage your own pipeline of leads and track performance against targets.
• Achieve individual sales quotas and contribute to team goals.

Required profile

• Confident telephone communicator with good spoken English.
• Positive, energetic and comfortable starting conversations with new people.
• Motivated by targets and eager to increase earnings through performance.
• Persistent and able to stay positive when faced with rejection.
• Ambitious and interested in building a career in sales and business development.
• Previous experience in sales, telesales or business development is an advantage but not mandatory.
